PARTNERSHIP FOR COMMUNITY DESIGN
DESIGN AWARDS
Purpose
The Design Awards recognizes efforts in landscape/environmental design,
community planning, architectural design, building renovation and/or
restoration, public art, public activities or other projects that enhance the
visual environment and quality of life of the Colorado Springs area.
Categories
The Design Awards program will seek to recognize projects in three distinct
categories:
Design: Design
quality of complete architecture, site, and landscape,
interiors and public art projects.
Planning: Efforts in master planning
and development/planning guidelines.
Partnership: Effectiveness of
cooperative design and planning partnerships.
Judging
A volunteer panel consisting of representatives of design, business, art and
public and private organizations conducts the judging on the following
criteria:
Enhancement of the built or natural environment
open to the general public
Cultural, educational, or economical benefit.
Diverse, broad-base community support and
participation
Awards Dinner
Presentations of awards are made at the Annual Partnership for Community Design
Awards Dinner.
